| Made with all-polyester ATY 55/48 continuous filament, this fabric combines polyester elastic yarn containing a Sorona® PTT component with PET filament. Air-texturing creates irregular, naturally distributed micro-loops. The fabric delivers a low-luster cotton-like appearance, soft micro-bulk, and comfortable stretch without OP or PU elastic yarn, maintaining a more consistent material basis for future circular design. The double-knit construction provides a refined, smooth surface on both sides, stable structure, and reduced tendency to skew. The ATY micro-bulk and air layer created by the double-knit structure provide a soft, moderately voluminous thermal feel in a lightweight fabric. It resists excessive body cling and drape, balancing comfortable coverage with a clean appearance. The fabric can serve as an alternative to Japanese superfine acrylic fabrics for autumn and winter thermal applications. Testing shows Grade 4 or above performance in pilling and snag resistance, together with moisture management, quick-drying, and UV-protection functionality. Qmaloft is based on PET/PTT polyester-family materials. When sewing thread, care labels, elastic bands, prints, and other trims also use compatible materials, together with established collection, sorting, and remanufacturing processes, the system can further support garment-level textile-to-textile closed-loop design. Suitable for lightweight thermal underwear, long-sleeve T-shirts, POLO shirts, casual mid-layers, autumn and winter sportswear, and everyday functional apparel. |
