Woven fabrics are made by interlacing warp and weft yarns, providing a smooth surface, structure, and dimensional stability. Their inherent stretch is lower than that of knitted fabrics, so different elastic-yarn systems may be selected according to product requirements. False-twist PET filament provides moderate mechanical give; PTT/PET bicomponent elastic polyester filament develops more pronounced mechanical stretch and recovery through differential shrinkage; and OP elastic yarn suits high-stretch applications, but increases material complexity and the difficulty of end-of-life recycling.

Beyond waterproof and windproof outerwear, woven fabrics are widely used in shirts, trousers, womenswear, commuter apparel, and urban performance wear. Natural cotton woven fabrics are valued for their staple-fiber surface, low luster, natural cotton-like hand, and visual texture. However, cotton fabrics generally have limited wrinkle recovery and stretch. Adding OP to improve elasticity creates a multi-material structure that is more difficult to recycle.

AFFT (Advanced Fully Functional Technology Inc.) All-Polyester Stretch Woven Fabric uses PTT/PET bicomponent elastic polyester filament in the weft, combined with fine-denier PET filament through composite-yarn construction. Through filament combination, surface structure, and weave design, the fabric achieves a low-luster appearance, refined hand, and comfortable stretch that resemble natural cotton staple-fiber fabrics, without using OP. It also retains the lightweight, durability, and improved wrinkle-recovery characteristics of polyester filament.

Comfortable weft stretch is the key feature of this product, making it suitable for shirts, trousers, and lightweight womenswear that require greater freedom of movement. When both warp and weft use all-polyester cotton-linen-feel stretch yarn, the fabric can further develop mechanical stretch in both directions. This supports applications that replace selected low- to medium-stretch knitted fabrics while retaining the distinctive thinness, structure, and silhouette of woven fabrics.

All-polyester stretch woven fabrics can be developed at ultra-lightweight specifications of approximately 100 g/yd or below, balancing a refined surface with wearing comfort. Through the appropriate combination of yarn fineness, fabric density, and moisture-management design, quick-drying and lightweight performance can be incorporated. Avoiding OP, cotton, nylon, and other dissimilar materials also supports polyester-family recycling design and a textile-to-textile circularity foundation.

Quality targets can be specified according to customer requirements, including pilling resistance, snag resistance, elongation, and stretch recovery. With Grade 4 or above pilling and snag resistance, together with Taiwan’s established filament-yarn, weaving, and dyeing-and-finishing supply chain, all-polyester stretch woven fabrics provide an option that combines cotton-like texture, comfortable stretch, lightweight structure, and polyester-family circular design.
